Deadwood, South Dakota - It was over 120 years ago when prospectors struck gold in Deadwood Gulch, Dakota Territory and that is how the town of Deadwood was born. All of downtown is a National Historic Landmark. When you walk down Main Street, you can feel the presence of Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane walking along beside you.
