Folklore Cartoon Map (William Gropper-1946) 11x17 Poster

America, its folklore is a pictorial map of the United States. It was created to showcase the diversity of national myths and folk stories and shows characters and names or titles from American folklore. Gropper, born in New York City's Lower East Side to a working-class family. He worked as a cartoonist for mainstream publications New York Tribune and Vanity Fair, as well as the leftist and radical newspapers Rebel Worker, New Masses, and Daily Worker.

This reproduction of the vintage 1946 Folklore Map has been restored. Printed on semi-glossy, 48 lb paper and measures 11" x 17".
