The ""Granite State"",named after the southern English county of Hampshire, became the first of the British colonies to break away from Great Britain in January, 1776 & was one of the original 13 states that founded the United States of America. It is well known for its state motto: ""Live Free or Die"". With some of the largest mountains on the East Coast, its major recreational attractions include skiing, snowmobiling and other winter sports, hiking and mountaineering, observing the fall foliage, summer cottages along many lakes and the seacoast. Postcard is brand new and in mint condition.
