Pike County Courthouse, Pittsfield, Illinois
Text on back: Pike County Courthouse, octagonal in shape, is a unique landmark on the square in Pittsfield, Illinois. Built of Berea stone in 1893-94, the building was designed by Henry Elliot of Chicago and cost, at the time, $45,000. It is listed by the Illinois Arts Council as one of Illinois’ 10 most outstanding examples of courthouse architecture. Vintage postcard is unused and in good condition.
